Japanese calligraphy with stencils

Calligraphy: »The Enso circle is one of the most popular drawings in Japanese calligraphy. It symbolises enlightenment, strength, elegance, the universe and the void, but can also symbolise the Japanese aesthetic itself. (…) In Zen Buddhism, the painting of Ensō represents the moment in which consciousness is free and body and mind are not restricted in their creative process. It is common to apply ink to tissue or rice paper with a brush in one movement. Once the Ensō is drawn, one can not change it: the Ensō shows the state of the mind at the moment of the creation «.

Kalligrafie mit Schablonen

Eine Kalligrafie des Ensō von Kanjuro Shibata XX

We, at Schablono, created this template-based stencil for the customer based on a drawing of the symbol. The symbol had a diameter of 1.6 m. For better handling, we delivered 3 parts that were seamlessly stenciled to form an overall motif. A great inspiration for your own magical moments. Give your rooms your individual signature. A great stencil example that we hope will inspire your senses and imagination.
